Helical pulldown micropile is a patented technology used as a deep foundation solution. With micropile pulldown technology, higher load capacities are now achievable. The helical pulldown micropile consists of a grout column around the shaft of a standard helical pier. The process begins by screwing a helical anchor into the soil. The helical bearing plates on the shaft create a tremendous pulling force as it is torqued into the ground. Soil is forced outward to create a void around the pier shaft and this void is filled with grout.
